I use to enjoy Nora Roberts books a lot more than I do now. Her books have become very formula driven and sometimes the story line is too thin to cover this up. But I found the book The Liar to be an ok summer read. I mean it had an ok story and an ok romance and I am a sucker for a good romance novel.
Shelby is a young girl from Tennessee who gets swept off her feet by a handsome, rich man or so she thought. When he drowns in a boating accident her whole world falls apart. At twenty four she is left with a young child, a mountain of debt and the knowledge that the man she thought was her husband was a fraud and a liar.
She goes back home to be with the ones she loves and make a home for her and her child but trouble follows and that is all I am going to say.
